Widgets are a simple way to modify DeskPRO.

Widgets let you inject HTML and JavaScript into predefined locations within the agent interface.

You can edit HTML and Javascript files from the admin interface, so you don’t have to go through the trouble of packaging and distributing a ZIP file.

Creating widgets is the simplest way to add features to your helpdesk quickly, with a shallow learning curve.

There are two disadvantages of widgets compared to full apps:

  • You can only make relatively simple changes with a widget, compared to what’s possible with apps.
  • You can’t conveniently distribute a widget for installation on other DeskPRO helpdesks.
